Madonna nommée 'le visage suprême' par des chirurgiens esthétiques.
Madonna named 'the ultimate face' by cosmetic surgeons... so will she finally admit to going under the knife?
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 4:23 PM on 05th August 2008
For years Madonna's youthful complexion has been the source of speculation, with many observers wondering if she's gone under the knife.
Now the debate has reached its peak of intensity after the 49-year-old was named the ultimate face by a respected American magazine.
The magazine has hailed Madonna's facial features for her 'Mount Rushmore cheekbones, the angular jawline, the smoothed forehead, the plumped skin, the heart-like shape
of the face.'
While her spokesperson will neither confirm or deny rumours the star has been cosmetically enhanced, her estranged brother Christopher Ciccone is adamant her dewy complexion is
not natural.
Appearing on U.S. chat show Chelsea Lately last month, Ciccone was blunt about his opinion of his sister's famous features.
When told by host Chelsea Handler that Madonna would disapprove of her photo on the front of his book Life With My Sister Madonna,
Ciccone said: 'Well they probably shouldn't have pulled it quite so tight...'
After being thanked by Handler for putting the 'face lift rumours out there,' Ciccone replied: 'Come on, it's there, nobody will say it. I will.'
Writer Jonathan Van Meter interviews Madonna's long-term publicist Liz Rosenberg, who also represents
Cher, Michael Buble and Josh Groban, for her views on surgery.
Rosenberg insists she doesn't know whether or not Madonna has undergone surgery, but declares the singer
looks 'amazing'.
She said: 'Whatever Madonna has had done - and I really don't know - she looks truly amazing.
'I have never represented anyone who has spoken to me about plastic surgery. Nor have I asked them. I don't want to know.
'But Anyone who has had it done, I'm all for it. These people, they are commodities, and improving on your product is the business they're
in.
'Getting any artist besides Joan Rivers and Kathy Griffin to go on record about the subject is not easy.
Of course one of the great quotes came from my gal Cher, who said in an interview, "If I want to put my tits on my back it's my
business."'
Madonna is described as the embodiment of the 'New New Face', for having facial features highly sought after by cosmetic
surgery customers.
According to claims in the New York feature, other celebrities lucky enough to have the sought-after 'New New Face' include
Demi Moore, Michelle Pfeiffer, Elizabeth Hurley, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour and
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
New York magazine sells the article as 'Madonna has it, Demi has it, even the Olsens have it. And it could be yours for about
$30,000'.
Leading cosmetic surgeon Dr David Rosenberg (no relation to Liz Rosenberg) compliments Madonna's
facial features in the article, saying: 'You see the architecture of the jawline, you see the architecture of the cheekbones.'
The demand for the 'New New Face' is eclipsing the formerly popular 'Old New Face',
features that inspired plastic surgery in the 1980s and 1990s.
Hailing Meg Ryan as an example of the 'Old New Face', Dr Rosenberg said: 'Meg may think she
looks beautiful, but what we are picking up on is a sense that maybe there is an over-inflation of the lips, there’s an over-abundance of fillers in her face.
'What I see with Demi is more of an operation. Let me say it this way: I see preservation of definition, a preservation of facial architecture.
Angularity. Very pretty.'

Le nouveau visage de Madonna va tous nous détruire.
04/08/2008
Have you had the traumatic experience of seeing Madonna without her makeup recently? The lower left thumbnail gives you a taste of the dreadful experience. But despite this
sometimes ghastly visage, Madonna's face is considered something of a model for rich and vain women of a certain age, and New York magazine this month tracked
down perhaps the most acclaimed sculptor of their flesh, Dr. David Rosenberg. Just to give you some idea of the pride he takes in his work: Rosenberg nearly
weeps when he is informed that many divas have begun referring to one of his signature looks as "the Rosenberg nose." The key to
his technique — and to what New York calls the "new new face" — is not the old stretching upward of the entire facial skin, but instead an
under-skin lifting of the muscles of the lower face, preserving essential facial "architecture." A regimen of injections of fat and collagen and whatnot
supplements this work by creating the appearance of baby fat. Even the young Olsen twins are maybe having some of this work done, the magazine
artfully implies!
Once I starting thinking of it in these terms—the face as the new handbag, say—I started seeing New New Faces everywhere: Demi Moore, Michelle
Pfeiffer, Liz Hurley, Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour. They all have
it! Even the Olsen twins seem to have a starter version of the New New Face, with their big crazy doll eyes and plush lips. Just to be clear, I
don’t presume to know exactly what any of these women have done to their faces, if anything at all. It’s possible (though in some cases before-and-after pictures would seem to suggest otherwise)
that this face is occurring entirely naturally—after all, these are women who are famous for being beautiful. The point is that there is a noticeable aesthetic shift happening in the face, and
that it’s dovetailing with quantum leaps in plastic surgery and dermatology.
The article also bitchily calls out women who squandered their distinctive beauty with surgery or injections — the old new face or whatever. Most of these women are in their 50s or 60s, and had
old-fashioned lifts (in which the whole face is stretched) and nose jobs. That's why it seems especially cruel that 46-year-old Meg Ryan is clumped in with them:
“Meg may think she looks beautiful,” [Rosenberg] says carefully. “But what we are picking up on is a sense that maybe there is an overinflation of the lips, there’s an overabundance of fillers in her face.” He
pauses. “What I see with Demi [Moore] is more of an operation. Let me say it this way: I see preservation of definition, a preservation of facial
architecture. Angularity. Very pretty.”
Virtually all the patients mentioned in the article are women, save for designer Calvin Klein. But the pretty new wave of boy-toy TV news anchors is going to need some work done
in a few years (if it isn't being done already!), so probably this sad vortex of endless cosmetic work will soon draw in the half of humanity that can, at the moment, sometimes afford to let its
skin sag, even in front of cameras. And maybe it can invent the new new new face!

Woman & Home magazine scored an interview and cover with Madonna, but the interview is about as safe as it gets. No scandalious
details or A-Rod questions...booooo! Anywho, here are some highlights from the interview...
Madonna on motherhood:
Having children has had an enormous effect on me as a person, and creatively. When you have children you look at life differently. You have a much fuller
sense of appreciation and for the fragility of life, and how magical we all are as human beings.
Madonna on turning 50:
The number 50 is not a bad word! I feel fine and am not sensitive about anyone talking about it. I see it as another excuse to have a party. I’m enjoying
life as much as ever, as well as all the different things I do – directing, making music, having a family.
Madonna on Malawi:
I think the criticism that celebrities face when they are tackling humanitarian issues is down to the cynicism of the public. People like to criticise. It’s
human nature. They can’t imagine someone could be doing something for an altruistic reason, because they are feeling generous.

Madonna on turning 50, on motherhood, on Malawi
The Queen of pop, talks to us about work, family and giving back
Madonna - On turning 50
As Madonna approaches her 50th birthday (16th August), she opens up to Woman and Home about planning her best decade yet with a focus on giving back
The success of Madonna's eleventh album, Hard Candy, and sell-out performances show her enduring popularity. She recently turned her hand to directing with the
well-received comedy Filth And Wisdom, and she presented the documentary I Am Because We Are, which highlights the plight of AIDS orphans in
Malawi, her two-year-old adopted son David's homeland. Madonna's other children are Lourdes, 11, from her relationship with
actor Carlos Leon, and Rocco, eight, from her marriage to Guy Ritchie.
Madonna on turning 50
The number 50 is not a bad word! I feel fine and am not sensitive about anyone talking about it. I see it as another excuse to have a party. I'm enjoying life as
much as ever, as well as all the different things I do – directing, making music, having a family.
I am a multi-tasker. In working, I am using the right and the left side of my brain non-stop. Consequently, I don't sleep very much. But I have an incredible team around me and it's a support
system I couldn't do without. I'm also a highly organised person, so between that and my obsessive-compulsive disorder, I get a lot done!
Madonna - On motherhood
Having children has had an enormous effect on me as a person, and creatively. When you have children you look at life differently. You have a much fuller
sense of appreciation and for the fragility of life, and how magical we all are as human beings.
As a mother, I would fall into the category of the disciplinarian. I make my children tidy up their bedrooms. I do not like them to play video games or watch television, and I make sure they do
their homework.
Among my children, Lola [Lourdes] rules the roost. She is extremely maternal towards David. He is the apple of everyone's eye right now. Lola is in major competition with Rocco and he's starting
to fight back. But, when nobody's looking, the two of them still creep into bed and cuddle. It's a closet kind of love.
I lost my own mother to breast cancer when I was six. Children always think they did something wrong when their parents disappear. You're aware of a sense of loss and feel a sense of
abandonment.
Madonna - On Malawi
I first became involved with Malawi as I got to know someone who lived in the Ivory Coast. He was friends with Victoria Keelan, who had come to his rescue
because there had been a water shortage in the Ivory Coast. She asked if he had an idea of someone who could help with the situation with the orphans in Malawi.
He had something to do with the distribution of my children's books in the Ivory Coast. On the back of the book it says that all the proceeds are donated to a children's charity. So he thought,
“Madonna's interested in children”. He got in touch with me and that's how the whole ball got rolling.
I think the criticism that celebrities face when they are tackling humanitarian issues is down to the cynicism of the public. People like to criticise. It's human nature. They can't imagine
someone could be doing something for an altruistic reason, because they are feeling generous.
But I believe that if you have one iota of compassion, you can't ignore what's going on. You have to figure out ways to be a part of the solution.
Everything that's going on in the world is pretty scary. And people know we are living on borrowed time – whether it's global warming, the 36 wars that are going on at any given time or
terrorism. A lot of people in privileged positions are waking up and thinking it's a little bit absurd to be thinking about what their next film is going to be.
The planet is only going to be around for another 50 years if we don't wake up and do something about it.
It seems a little bit futile just to be worrying about your next position in the charts. So there is a lot of social consciousness going on and that can only be a good thing.
I certainly hope that people realise there's a lot more to being Madonna than taking off my clothes. I hope that the Sex book [which came out in 1992] is not the only thing that I'm identified
with. I have done and plan to do many other things.

Week in Review: A-Rod Calls Madonna 'My Soulmate' as Wife Files For Divorce
Friday July 11, 2008
Posted by Rachel Paula Ab... at 12:43 pm ET
Usmagazine.com looks back at the week in celebrity news:
- New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez was exchanging text messages with Madonna six months ago, Us Weekly reports in its new issue, on newsstands
now. "He [said] he was in love with her," his friend recalls to Us.
By February, A-Rod had upped the ante. "He said, 'She's my f--king soulmate, dude,'" the friend
tells Us.
Meanwhile, six days after Us Weekly broke the news that A-Rod was making late night visits to Madonna's apartment, his wife
Cynthia filed for divorce. While Madonna has denied a relationship with A-Rod, Us Weekly reports otherwise. Check out the new
issue for the full story on how the Material Girl lured A-Rod away from his newborn, why a friend says he's "totally
brainwashed" by kabbalah, how Madonna is thriving on the attention and why her friends think A-Rod is "totally her type."
- Former Oakland A and onetime Yankee Jose Canseco revealed that Madonna begged him to impregnate her. In the new issue of Us Weekly,
Canseco details how the singer tried to romance him in 1991 even though, like baseball nemesis A-Rod, he was married at the time.
"She wanted to get married and have a child with me — she wanted a Cuban child," he tells Us.
Conseco recalls: "We went downstairs [at her house in the Hollywood Hills] and she came over and said, "What would you do if I
kissed you?' and then she sat on my lap and kissed me."

Just met? Hardly. New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez was smitten with Madonna six months ago when he was exchanging text messages with her while dining with a friend
in Miami.
"He kept smiling, acting as if he was a little kid," the dinner companion tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on
newsstands now.
"He told me it was Madonna," A-Rod's friend says. "I was
shocked."
The highest-paid player in baseball then "proceeded to say he was in love with her," the pal tells Us.
"I thought he was kidding, but he wasn't."
By February, the 32-year-old slugger had upped the ante. "He said, 'She's my f--king soulmate, dude,'" the friend
tells Us.
On Monday, A-Rod's wife of nearly five years Cynthia – who gave birth to the couple's second child in April – filed for divorce
six days after Us Weekly broke the news that her husband was making late night visits to Madonna's apartment.
So was it an affair? "Without talking about specifics of sexual conduct, there's no question," her attorney, Earle
Lilly, tells Us. "No one very often has pictures of the actual sex itself."
While Madonna, 49 – who put on a show of unity with husband Guy Ritchie last week – has denied a relationship with A-Rod, Us
Weekly reports all signs say otherwise.
A-Rod hasn't even seen his newborn daughter Ella "more than once," her attorney adds.
In fact, "literally 10 minutes" after the birth of Ella in Miami, he was flying to NYC to see Madonna, a source
tells Us.
Check out the new issue of Us Weekly available now, for the full story on how the Material Girl lured A-Rod away from his newborn, why a friend says he's
"totally brainwashed" by kaballah, how Madonna is thriving on the attention and why her friends

Everything about an élite pro athlete's life — the nine-figure contract, the 20,000-sq.-ft. home, the beauteous gluteus maximus and, yes, sometimes even the 12-lawyer divorce — is a brawny spectacle. But the breakup of New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and his wife Cynthia is surely one for the record books, with its allegations of a starry love pentagon and brainwashing via a rabbi. The relationship that appears to have helped unravel the six-year Rodriguez marriage involves no mere Vegas stripper or D-list country star. This couple is fighting about the only woman on earth who can top A-Rod in both net worth and push-ups — Madonna.
Cynthia Rodriguez filed for divorce Monday, with her lawyers claiming that "Alex has emotionally abandoned his wife and children" and that the marriage "is irretrievably broken because of the husband's extramarital affairs and marital misconduct." While Madonna's name isn't mentioned in the petition, Earle Lilly, Cynthia's divorce attorney, told TMZ, "Madonna was the last straw."
Lilly later clarified to PEOPLE magazine that he was not claiming sexual infidelity by the Material Girl and Major League boy, but rather "an affair of the heart." Dodd Romero, Rodriguez's former trainer and godfather to his children, told Good Morning America that Madonna has "brainwashed" the ballplayer with teachings of Kabbalah, the form of Jewish mysticism she practices. "Something has pulled him away from his strong family values and has caused him to search and look for something that really isn't out there," Romero said. (For pro athletes, chatty former trainers pose the same threat that chatty ex-nannies do to actors: they often see their bosses at their worst, and share it.)
Madonna, whose own 7 1/2-year marriage to director Guy Ritchie has been rumored to be on shaky ground, fought back with a double play through her publicist. "My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce," she said in a statement. "I know Alex Rodriguez through Guy Oseary, who manages both of us. I brought my kids to a Yankee game. I am not romantically involved in any way with Alex Rodriguez. I have nothing to do with the state of his marriage or what spiritual path he may choose to study."
Also drawn into the lineup — are you keeping score? we're on our fifth batter — is rocker and comforter of wealthy divorcées Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz, who recently raised eyebrows by hosting Cynthia at his home in Paris, issued his own statement: "There is absolutely no affair between Cynthia Rodriguez and myself. This is unequivocally 100% not true. She came here to escape from everything happening in New York City. I opened my home to her as a friend, and I find it extremely hurtful that I am now being referred to as an adulterer." The singer has a knack for housing those recovering from crumbling marriages; he sublet his New York City apartment to Nicole Kidman after her 2001 divorce from Tom Cruise. While describing themselves as "friends," Kidman and Kravitz canoodled at parties and went house-hunting together.
With allegations and statements whizzing by like a Nolan Ryan fastball, the one person who has stayed quiet is A-Rod. His attorney didn't return calls for comment on Monday. All the negative off-field attention doesn't seem to be hurting his game. He recently hit his 536th home run, tying Mickey Mantle for 13th place on baseball's career list, and he was just named the top vote getter for the All-Star game.
In court, however, A-Rod faces a tough matchup. In her divorce petition, Cynthia has asked for primary custody of their two daughters — Natasha, 3, and Ella, 2 months — as well as their $12 million, six-bedroom estate in Coral Gables, Fla., their luxurious Maybach car and enough child support and alimony to maintain their "lavish lifestyle." A-Rod can only hope this is a battle that doesn't require extra innings.

Us Weekly reports in its new issue, on newsstands tomorrow, that Madonna's seven-year marriage to Guy Ritchie has stalled out – and the singer
has been hosting late-night visits from New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez at her Central Park West apartment in New York City.
A ringless and grim-faced Ritchie, 39, arrived in New York City from London yesterday after several weeks apart from his family. A source tells
Us that the $28-million-a-year Rodriguez, 32, has made numerous solo nighttime visits to Madonna, 49, at her spacious home and would sneak out
"as late as midnight." Says the source, "All the doormen are
talking."
Rodriguez attended Madonna's April 30 NYC concert; the singer sat in his seats at a Yankees game on June 22
(it was the first time she ever was photographed at a Yankees game). Her son Rocco, 7, also sported Yankees gear on June 25 while playing in Central
Park.
Rodriguez, married with two young daughters, has already faced speculation about cheating: In 2007, he and a stripper were reportedly spied in Toronto, Miami and Dallas.
Complicating matters: Former Yankee slugger Jose Canseco – who once dated Madonna – wrote in his book Vindicted that he "hates [A-Rod's] guts"
because he once hit on his wife.
Madonna has been in NYC since the venerable Times of London confirmed that she consulted the same high-profile divorce attorney
who worked with Paul McCartney and Prince Charles. Meanwhile, Us confirms Ritchie has also sought legal advice from
Forsters law firm in London.
A-Rod's Yankees rep, when reached for comment, referred Us to their shared manager Guy Oseary. When reached by Us, Oseary hung
up the phone. Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, was not available.
Check out the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, for exclusive details about Madonna's surprising friendship with A-Rod, how she fell in
and out of love with Ritchie, what divorce would mean for her $600 million estate, and why a reconciliation isn't out of the question.

EXCLUSIVE: NY Yankee Alex Rodriguez at Madonna's Apartment Right After Wife Gave Birth
Tuesday July 1, 2008
New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez was at Madonna's Central Park West apartment in New York City shortly after his wife gave birth
to their second daughter, Usmagazine.com has learned.
One source tells Us that Rodriguez, 32, visited the singer, 49, possibly as early as the night after his wife gave birth.
A source tells Us Weekly in its new issue, on newsstands now, that Madonna has been hosting late-night visits from the $28-million-a-year
Rodriguez at her spacious home and he would sneak out "as late as midnight."
Rodriguez also attended Madonna's concert at Roseland in NYC on April 30 – just nine days after his wife-of-six-years Cynthia
gave birth to daughter Ella in Miami on April 21. (They also have a 3-year-old, Natasha.)
"He was very chummy with her after her Roseland concert," a source tells Us.
Madonna has leaned on Rodriguez as her seven-year marriage to Guy Ritchie (who arrived ringless and grim-faced in NYC Monday) has stalled
out.
Both Madonna and Ritchie, 39, have consulted attorneys in London.
Rodriguez faced a cheating scandal last year when he and a stripper were reportedly spied in Toronto, Miami and Dallas.
A-Rod's Yankees rep, when reached for comment about their friendship, referred Us to their shared manager Guy Oseary. When reached by Us,
Oseary hung up the phone. Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, was not available.
