C'mon, Madge, it's been over a year and there hasn't even been a hint of you adopting again.
But fear not, I'm told the 51-year-old Material Gran Girl is packing her bags in readiness for her regular visit to catch-up with her African buddies...
And maybe, just maybe, find herself a new little bubba to coo over too? Adopted tot No2 cutie Mercy Grace has apparently been pleading with her superstar mum for another brother or sister.
And now Madge has confirmed with Malawian officials a pre-Christmas trip to the country, where she adopted Mercy, five, and David Banda, eight.
A source tells me: "Madonna likes nothing more than rolling up her sleeves and shoving her paws down a blocked well. She likes to do her bit.
"When she adopted David she promised his dad she'd stay in touch and visit often. While Mercy Grace is pleading for another little brother or sister, Madge is not sure she's quite ready but she's kept the door open and been in touch with the orphanage.
"She has big plans to raise money, including a possible charity concert next year."
Her African adventure is one of the reasons she split with Jesus Luz, 24.
The Brazilian child model was unwilling, apparently, to inspect a raft of wells/farms/ children with her. And Madge's new young lover, French dancer Brahim Zaibat, also 24, is unlikely to be holding her hand mid-inspection.
My source reveals: "Madonna and Brahim is not serious - they are having a no-strings fling. He certainly won't be making the trip."

Keeping all the male models, baseball players, and boy toys straight is no easy task, so we're not surprised that there's some confusion about her latest paramour.
Various reports claim that the 52-year-old Material Girl is dating Brahim Rachiki, an "older" 33-year-old choreographer, as in nine years older than her ex, 24-year-old Brazilian model Jesus Luz.
But X17online.com reports that Madonna is actually dating a different Brahim -- Brahim Zaibat, a b-boy dancer who is only 24, the same age as Jesus.
"They've been seeing each other for a few months but really keeping it on the DL," a source close to the dancer tells the website. "Madonna did NOT want this getting out before she had time to see if things were really going to work out between her and Brahim or not. Things have been going well so she was about to go public with the relationship anyway."
On Friday, Madonna and Zaibat were photographed leaving the IFC Theater in New York.
Although Madonna is sure to get attention with her latest boy toy -- just as she did with her famous husbands, Guy Ritchie and Sean Penn -- there will never be another couple quite as catchy as "Madonna and Jesus."

While Madonna was flirting with a new man, her former boy toy Jesus Luz was walking the red carpet with her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, at the Ultimate Fighting Championship match at London's 02 Arena Saturday night. But Ritchie "barreled down the red carpet while Luz posed for photos," reports our spy. The night before, Luz deejayed a party for UFC co-founder Lorenzo Fertitta and president Dana White and was "swarmed by models." Meanwhile, Madonna has been out in New York with her new guy, French dancer Brahim Zaibat, who is believed to have danced at the launch of her Material Girl line at Macy's.

Madonna wants her relationships to be stable before she goes public with them, and apparently the pop icon considers her relationship with Brahim Zaibat stable enough to attend a cinema in New York. The 52-year-old singer was photographed leaving the cinema with Zaibat, whom a source claims the singer has been in a relationship with for "a few months."
"Madonna did not want this getting out before she had time to see if things were really going to work out between her and Brahim or not," a source told X17Online.com. "Things have been going well so she was about to go public with the relationship anyway."
Madonna was previously dating Brazilian model Jesus Luz, 24. The photographs with Zaibat come after claims of Madonna  daiting another one of her backup dancers with the same name, Brahim Rachiki. According to Daily Mail, the singer was "furious" after these reports.
Madonna and Zaibat were first seen together at a nightclub in New York. A source told the New York Post that the couple "came in together and were holding hands in a private area."

The 52-year-old singer - who was most recently in a relationship with 24-year-old model Jesus Luz - was spotted kissing and laughing with Brahim Zaibat, who is believed to be around 20 years younger than her, in New York last Thursday (14.10.10).
A source at nightspot SL said: "They came in together and were holding hands in a private area. Madonna got up and was dancing for an hour straight before going back to her man. They immediately started making out in front of other guests."
They later moved on to Sullivan Room, where they happily danced together and showed their affection for one another.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "After working the dance floor, they found more private seating where they hugged and kissed for the rest of the night."
Friends of Brahim - who was initially misidentified as another dancer, Brahim Rachiki - say the pair have been dating several months but have been keen to keep the romance under wraps.
One pal told website X17online: "They've been seeing each other for a few months but really keeping it on the down low. Yesterday X17online broke the news that Madonna was getting hot and heavy with a new boyfriend, 24-year-old backup dancer Brahim Zaibat (NOT another Brahim as many other news outlets were reporting) and now we've got the first pics!
Friday night, Madonna and her new man, who is a French breakdancer from Lyon, went to the IFC theater in New York to see the French film Carlos by Olivier Assayas, which is a two-part mini-series about a Venezuelan terrorist.
The new couple were holding hands as they left the theater with a couple of friends (who look more like Brahim's friends than Madonna's friends, age-wise.)
After the movie, they headed back to Madge's Central Park apartment where they spent the entire weekend together.
This is the third time we've spotted the new couple together, and the second time we've seen them leaving the movies together! (I guess with a 26 year age difference, movies are about the only thing they probably can enjoy together -- well, one of the things!)
Despite the huge difference in age, Madonna's ex-boyfriend Jesus was very involved with her children, particularly David and Mercy. It's not known yet if Madonna has introduced Brahim to her kids yet, but with all the time they're spending together, it's getting to be unavoidable. But will the kids accept Brahim like they did Jesus or are they getting fed up with their mom introducing them to men who are closer in age to themselves than their mother?

Madonna has found herself a new toy boy after splitting from her former flame, Jesus Luz -- and he's a choreographer 19 years her junior.
The Queen of Pop was out Thursday night at Meatpacking hot spot SL with her handsome "Sticky & Sweet" tour choreographer, Brahim Rachiki.
"They came in together and were holding hands in a private area," a spy told us. "Madonna got up and was dancing for an hour straight before going back to her man. They immediately started making out in front of other guests."
The superstar was seen sneaking kisses and laughing with Rachiki, who also choreographed for Michael Jackson and collaborated on his concert and movie, "This Is It!"
Rachiki and Madge stayed late into the night and even chatted with DJ Tiesto, who arrived shortly after they did. A rep for the club couldn't be reached.
The duo moved on from SL to the Sullivan Room in Greenwich Village at 1 a.m. for a Libation Party, where they showed off their dance moves before indulging in more public kissing.
A spy said, "After working the dance floor, they found more private seating where they hugged and kissed for the rest of the night."
This comes on the heels of Madonna's turbulent relationship with Luz, who's been recently spotted flirting with a string of women in his native Brazil.
The Material Girl, 52, has been known to fancy younger men. Her ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, is 41. Rachiki is 33 but has more years under his belt than Luz, who's all of 24.
She was reported to be looking to replace Luz with Guatemalan actor Oscar Isaac, star of "Che," and earlier this year showed an interest in "A Single Man" actor Jon Kortajarena, whom she met at his premiere.
Reps for both Madonna and Rachiki declined to comment.

Madonna and Brahim spent Thursday evening at the SL nightclub in New York, where sources claim they got up close and personal.

The pair spent time dancing and flirting, and chatting to the DJ at the venue.

“Madonna has loved being back in the States since the divorce but England is where she feels her heart is now,” a source said.
“She is deliberately focusing on work that will keep her in Britain.
“She has had meetings with her London legal team, Mischon de Reya, to arrange a visa that will enable her to move back for good. Now that she is no longer a British citizen by virtue of being married to Guy, she is having to apply like everyone else.”
Madonna’s eldest son Rocco, 10, is able to stay in Britain because he is Guy’s son, but her other children — Lourdes, 13 and adopted kids David Banda, five and Mercy James, four — will need their mother to complete her visa application before they can live in the UK.
“The other children will automatically gain visas as Madonna’s dependents as long as she can get past the paperwork,” the source added.
“The past couple of years have been the breath of fresh air Madonna needed after her divorce, but she is now ready to embrace the British lifestyle again.”

The 52-year-old singer has had an on-off love affair with the capital and left for New York in 2008 after her divorce from Guy Ritchie, saying she never wanted to live here again.
But she now appears smitten once more. A source says: ‘Madonna has loved being back in the States since the divorce, but England is where she feels her heart is now.
‘She is deliberately focusing on work that will keep her in Britain.
‘She has had meetings with her ­London legal team, Mishcon de Reya, to arrange a visa that will enable her to move back for good. Now that she is no longer a British citizen by virtue of being married to Guy, she is having to apply like everyone else.’
Madonna’s children – Lourdes, 13, Rocco, ten, and adopted David Banda, five, and Mercy James, four – were all born outside the UK although Rocco, as Guy’s son, is entitled to a British passport.

Public school-educated Guy, 42, is said to be thrilled at the prospect of Madge moving back as he wants Rocco to go to a traditional English school. Lourdes and Rocco currently go to the Lycee Francais school in New York, which has a sister school in Kensington, West London.
‘Guy misses the kids desperately and can’t wait to spend more time with them,’ says my source.
‘The past couple of years have been the breath of fresh air Madonna needed after her divorce, but she is now ready to embrace the British lifestyle again.’
Horse-mad Madge relinquished the couple’s country estate, ­Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, to Guy as part of the divorce settlement.
But she still owns a ten-bedroom house in Marylebone, West London.

One teacher there allegedly had a run in with the star while putting some finishing touches on a set—a friend of his wrote on her blog that just a few days ago the teacher's iPod rotated to a Madonna Mix he had made and "the volume suddenly increased to maximum level. He swung around... and there she was, smiling and pulsing a bit with the deafening beat of 'Ray Of Light.' She let him recover from the shock and said, 'That’s better!' and turned and went out of the shop and back to whatever celebrity-parent-at-school thing she was dealing with." My sister’s boyfriend teaches theatrical set construction at La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts. There’s always a new “somebody” in the incoming class and this year it’s Madonna’s kid, Lola. When asked what she’s like he responded, “What they’re all like: Full of energy and you’re afraid they’re going to cut off their thumbs.”
Which makes sense from the lips of someone paid to supervise a roomful of fourteen year old aspiring actors as they wield electric drills and table saws. Ironically the only person who’s ever lost a thumb in his classroom is him. It got sewn back on but it looks like a Frankenthumb and so now we all ask after its health by saying, “How’s Frank?”
Although the kids are technically responsible for building the sets for their productions he puts in a lot of after-hours time actually getting shit done so that when the curtain goes up there’s something more than one half-painted flat behind it. He was putting in some of these hours a few days ago when his iPod clicked over to his Madonna Mix.
He figured it wasn’t a big deal because there weren’t many other people left in the building. But about four songs in, while he was bent over a problematic set of risers, the volume suddenly increased to maximum level.
He swung around to dress down whatever little shit was messing with his stuff and there she was, smiling and pulsing a bit with the deafening beat of “Ray Of Light.” She let him recover from the shock and then she said, “That’s better!” and turned and went out of the shop and back to whatever celebrity-parent-at-school thing she was dealing with.
“Well that’s pretty embarrassing!” I said when my sister told me the story this weekend.
“Yeah, I know,” she said. “Ray Of Light! Christ! He said it took three songs for Papa Don’t Preach to make its way up and by then she was probably gone.”
Moral: What’s on your Madonna Mix matters.
Alternately: Always play at full volume.

Who is the most famous high school freshman in all of New York City? Probably Lourdes Leon, Madonna's 13-year-old daughter, who was one of 77% of public school students attending the first day of school (the low attendance is due to the fact that today and tomorrow are school holidays). The Daily News was at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and reports that the teen "hugged a few friends and chatted with others after arriving at the Manhattan school at 8 a.m." and wore "sported ankle-high leather boots, a black skirt and a plaid sleeveless shirt over a white T-shirt. She clutched a cell phone, with a multicolored wristband on her right arm offset by an assortment of bracelets on her left."
Laguardia, which inspired the movie Fame as well as parents to lie about their residency, requires potential students to audition (Lourdes is apparently studying drama, which means she needed to prepare a monologue!). One student said, "I saw [Lourdes] in the morning and in the cafeteria. She was talking to people. ... She blends in with everyone. She seems like a normal person," while another said "I don't want to be like, 'Your mom's a celebrity.' But if the occasion arises, I'd definitely talk to her."

The pair – who didn’t go public with their ­relationship until July – have been discussing marriage and model Jacqui, 28, is saying she’s delighted at the prospect of taking over where Madge left off as the new Mrs Ritchie.
A pal tells me: “She’s besotted with Guy and wants to marry him. And Guy seems thrilled to have found her. They see themselves growing old together.”
It’s clear Jacqui’s slotted into Guy’s family life - his relatives love her! “Jacqui’s been a huge hit with Guy’s parents,” says my source.
“They are delighted he has met Jacqui. She’s also getting on extremely well with the children and that’s been a deciding factor for Guy. It’s only a matter of time before he proposes.”
But my sources say Jacqui is nervous about making the big announcement because she’s worried about Madonna’s reaction.
The pal said “Guy and Madonna have managed to stay close friends and Jacqui is worried about upsetting her. She can be pretty intimidating, especially when you start dating her former husband!”
Some reports have suggested Madge is less than impressed with Jacqui – ex of reality TV star Darius Danesh.
She was said to be seething after Guy and Jacqui celebrated his 42nd birthday with Sting’s wife Trudie Styler... who introduced Madonna to Guy in the first place.
Madonna may also be none too pleased to see the naked shots of Jacqui immortalised in the PlayStation 3 game Heavy Rain.

David, who was adopted when he was just over a year old by Madonna and then-husband Guy Ritchie, retained the Biblical first name he was given by his birth parents. Upon his adoption, his two original surnames, Banda and Mwale, became his middle names.
Banda is a common surname in Malawi, David's birthplace, akin to Smith in the U.S.
David, which means "beloved" in Hebrew, was the 14th most popular boys' name in the U.S. last year. David has been among the Top 35 American male names since the start of recorded baby-naming history in 1880, and was in the Top Ten for over half a century, from 1936 until 1992.
In the 1990 census, David was the 6th most common male name among the total U.S. population.
Part of the enduring popularity of the name David has to be credited to appeal of the Old Testament David, the brave young shepherd and warrior who defeated the giant Goliath and became King of Israel. David is important to the Christian, Jewish, and Islamic cultures, making the name appropriate for families from a wide range of backgrounds.
The names of Madonna's other children, chosen by the singer herself, were much more adventurous than David's classic, relatively sedate name. They are Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, called Lola; Rocco John Ritchie; and youngest daughter Mercy James, also adopted from Malawi, whose first name is a direct translation of her original name, Chifundo.

NEW YORK – A retired New York City firefighter yearning to meet Madonna has been accused of scrawling messages of adoration on the sidewalk outside her apartment building and possessing a 7 1/2-inch ice pick.
Robert Linhart is charged with graffiti and criminal possession of an ice pick recovered from his car. He's also charged with resisting arrest outside the building near Central Park.
The grizzled 59-year-old was arraigned Wednesday in Manhattan Criminal Court. A judge set his bail at $20,000 cash.
Defense lawyer Cheryl Bader tells the Daily News there was "no threatening conduct" and it's "not a crime to adore Madonna," the singer of pop hits including "Like a Virgin" and "Material Girl."
Police say Linhart was arrested Tuesday while spray-painting messages to the singer and asking to meet her.
The fire department says Linhart retired in 1998.
