EXCLUSIVE: See Kelly Osbourne’s New Material Girl Ads
Feb 23 2011 10:45 AM ET
Kim Peiffer; reporting by Pamela Edwards-Christiani

In her ads as the new face of Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon’s clothing line, Material Girl, Kelly Osbourne is showing off her colorful side — and both Kelly and Lourdes are talking to PEOPLE about their fashion favorites for the upcoming spring season. “The military jacket. I love that and I put it with a bunch of badges on it to make it my own, too,” Leon said recently, whereas Osbourne points to the accessories. “The shoes–there’s a pair of nude heels that I’m really obsessed with,” Osbourne gushed. “There’s so much stuff in it that’s so me and what I wear. There’s a leopard dress that I get to wear next that I’m excited about. I love prints,” she said. When it comes to clothes for warmer weather, it’s shorts for spring that are all the rage for the girls. “I’m like obsessed with them,” said Lourdes. But one of the greatest things about the line, Osbourne observes, is that it’s accessible to everyone. “There’s not many other companies besides Material Girl that do clothes at an affordable price that are high fashion and [are] what people see in the magazines and can emulate themselves without having to go and spend $1000 on a dress,” she said. And one of the most important aspects of the line for 14 year old Lourdes was making sure that other girls her age could buy great clothes without breaking the bank. “I don’t go out and buy all of these expensive [clothes]…so it’s good for my friends. It’s good for everybody and it’s good clothing, too.” Shop the line only at Macy’s and macys.com, and read more from Lourdes Leon and Kelly Osbourne in this week’s issue of PEOPLE!

PICS: Kelly Osbourne Flashes Bra for Madonna’s Material Girl Line!
Wednesday – February 23, 2011 – 12:16pm

Kelly Osbourne proves she knows how to strike a pose and, well, "Vogue" in the first modeling shots for the Material Girl clothing line -- designed by Madonna and her teenage daughter Lourdes, 14.
The ads, which debut in fashion mags' April issues, were shot in NYC's East Village neighborhood at such iconic spots as Lit Lounge and Mars Bar.
"It's such an honor to be a part of this campaign and it was an amazing experience to work with Madonna and Lola," Osbourne said of the gig. "Material Girl is incredible because it's high fashion but it's also accessible to anyone who shops at Macy's."
The Fashion Police co-host, 26, added that she's adapted her own personal style: "I take so much of my style from Madonna in the 80s and I really admire how Lola dresses and that she stays true to herself."
For her part, Madonna, 52, seems equally smitten with Osbourne's look. "Kelly represents a true Material Girl," she said. "She is edgy, cool and has a unique sense of style that Lola and I love."

London Fashion Week kicks off
By Daily Mail Reporter
Last updated at 4:06 PM on 19th February 2011

But the hottest ticket is undeniably Issa London, where Madonna is rumoured to be among the expected attendees.
The British-based label has been thrown into the spotlight after Kate Middleton wore one of the designer's "draped" gowns to announce her engagement to Prince William.
The future royal's status as a fashion icon is tipped to bring a new level of interest to the British catwalk this year.

Kelly Osbourne signe une liste de conditions pour être la Material Girl de Madonna.

Madonna gags her latest Material Girl Kelly Osbourne
By Katie Nicholl
Last updated at 10:21 PM on 29th January 2011

Kelly Osbourne is quickly discovering that working for Madonna comes with a long list of conditions.
The 26-year-old is the new face of Madonna’s Material Girl teenage clothing line and has had to sign an extensive confidentiality agreement.
Madonna decided on the draconian measure after her previous muse, Taylor Momsen, 17, described the range as similar in style to that of a ‘high-class hooker’ and was sacked.
Madonna doesn’t want any repeat episodes,’ said an aide.
Kelly will have to be very careful about what she says. The clothes are aimed at a teenagers so she will have to behave accordingly.’

Kelly Osbourne est le nouveau visage de la ligne Material Girl de Madonna.

Kelly Osbourne is the new face of Madonna's clothing line
by Dean Piper, Sunday Mirror 23/01/2011

Kelly Osbourne has been chosen by Madonna to front her junior fashion brand Material Girl, I can reveal.
And I hear Kelly, who recently slimmed down to a size eight, has the queen of pop’s 14-year-old daughter Lourdes to thank. A close friend of the star said: “Kelly’s always been a massive fan of Madonna and recently heard Lourdes idolised her, which she was very flattered by. It’s a huge coup.”
And a huge improvement on Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen, the skinny weasel who fronted the clothing range’s launch last year.

Material Girl: Madonna apparemment mécontente de Taylor Momsen.

Madonna Gives Taylor Momsen the Boot from Material Girl Clothing Line
January 15, 2011 02:55 AM EST
by Hope Carson

Madonna is apparently dissatisfied with her employee Taylor Momsen, because the original Material Girl and her daughter Lourdes Leon have not renewed Momsen's contract as the "face" of their Material Girl clothing line.
Lourdes just posted a statement on her blog that she and her mom are "desperately seeking  the next face for Material Girl." Ouch.
According to Hollywood Life, being dismissed from professional projects is getting to be a habit with the 17-year-old sometime Gossip girl and self-appointed Pretty Reckless front woman. Not only is Momsen on an "indefinite hiatus" from the hit series, but she has also been dropped by her former modeling agency, the ultra famous IMG.
So far, Madonna's reasons for letting Taylor Momsen's contract expire are unknown. Perhaps, Momsen's penchant for rebellious behavior and provocative, sometimes obscene, public statements were too much even for the original Material Girl. Or perhaps, the fact that the Material Girl line is sold as a junior line at Macy's made Momsen far too controversial to continue as the representative for the brand.
Perhaps, it's time for Taylor Momsen to wake up and realize that if she doesn't stop alienating almost literally everyone, she'll soon be unemployable.

Taylor Momsen Is No Longer The Face Of Material Girl!
January 13th, 2011
Katrina Mitzeliotis

Madonna & Lourdes announced that they’re ‘desperately’ seeking the new face for the brand, which can only mean one thing — Taylor’s contract with the clothing line wasn’t renewed. Are you surprised by the news?
It’s another day and there’s yet another project Taylor Momsen doesn’t seem to be working on anymore. Quickly after the news broke that the Gossip Girl was on an ‘indefinite hiatus’ from the hit CW show, the star was also dropped from mega-modeling agency IMG — and now Lourdes has stated on her blog that the brand is ‘desperately seeking’ the next face for Material Girl.
While I think Taylor has the talent, and the long legs, for both acting and modeling, I was shocked when Madonna chose the rebellious teen for the brand — especially since it was a junior line at Macy’s. Between her provocative statements and her unpredictable antics, the star is more like a ticking time bomb than a brand ambassador. You might think I’m being negative, but in reality, I would love to see the star stop acting out for the sake of her career. She’s too talented to throw everything away! What do you think? Are you surprised she’s being replaced?

Jean Paul Gaultier lance la Collection pour bébés.

by Sarah Joynt
Jan 12th, 2011

Looks like the original ‘enfant terrible’ of couture is taking that first word to heart. Going one up on the much-buzzed-about children’s collection from Gucci, Jean Paul Gaultier is introducing Gaultier Bebe, a collection for newborns and children up to two years old.
This range will be shown alongside Junior Gaultier, the designer’s childrenswear collection for children ages 2 to 16 that was launched for autumn. The notion of a children’s collection coming from the designer that immortalized the cone bra is unsettling, but while inspiration will surely be found in the archives, the execution will be limited to referencing iconic nautical themes, tartan, and classic tailoring.
Gaultier Bebe will feature knitted dungarees, sailor shirts, and bodysuits in shades of red, white, and blue. The pieces start at just under $100 and go on sale this month.

Gaultier apporte 'le look Madonna' aux masses avec l'italien La Perla.

Jean Paul Gaultier Collection which will be launched in the UK next Monday, January 17, 2011, at Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, La Perla's Sloane Street boutique, and on Net-a-porter.com.

Jean Paul Gaultier collaborates with La Perla
The cone-bra inventor Jean Paul Gaultier, brings 'the Madonna look' to the masses with Italian lingerie brand La Perla.
BY Hilary Alexander | 12 January 2011

Jean Paul Gaultier, inventor of Madonna's astonishing "rocket cone-bra", is re-launching the look in his first ever collection for the Italian luxury lingerie brand, La Perla.
The outrageous French designer has drawn on a lifetime of taking inspiration from saucy women's underwear; his imagination was first fired when, as a child, he watched his grandmother, a corsetier, at work.
His exclusive 23-piece collection for La Perla not only includes several variations on the "rocket cone" corsetry, in pale 'boudoir pink' and jet-black, originally designed for Madonna's 'Blonde Ambition' world tour of 1990, but an entire wardrobe of seductive and suggestive designs, each one "a celebration of the female body" - and each one, as is Gaultier's signature, designed to be worn underneath or to go-it-alone as party or club-wear.
The collection, in satin, stretch, lace and tulle, which will be launched in the UK next Monday, January 17, at Harrods, Selfridges, Harvey Nichols, La Perla's Sloane Street boutique, and on Net-a-porter.com, already has a waiting list of more than 150. Bras are priced from £270 to £855, while briefs will cost between £135 and £450.
Outstanding pieces include a scarlet, stretch-satin, 'bra-dress' with metal clasps and a multi-strap 'bondage' back; a black guipure ace bra, corset, suspenders and briefs set; a vintage-look bra with double-straps and satin shoulder-pads; a suspender-belt with satin hip-pads to add extra curves; extra high briefs which hug the silhouette; and bustiers to highlight extreme cleavage.
The collection focusses on the embellishment strengths of La Perla, including a sophisticated technique for creating motifs in silk braid on tulle, and star-shaped back-stitching on satin for the pieces which define the curvaceous, hourglass silhouette so dear to Gaultier. Apart from black, boudoir-pink and red, a selection of pieces are also available in coral and aquamarine.
"Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage," Jean Paul Gaultier said. "It is almost thirty years now since I designed my first corset dress. This collaboration was a natural and logical step, especially since La Perla is the pearl of the lingerie, with a long history and the best savoir-faire."
Alain Prost, La Perla's chief executive officer, described the 'fashion marriage' with Gaultier as "an explosive concentrate of luxury and femininity."

Madonna: 'Recherche Material Girl Désespérément'.

Madonna Searching For A New Material Girl
11 January 2011 12:04:44 PM

Madonna is looking for a new model to promote her clothing brand, replacing 'Gossip Girl' star Taylor Momsen as the face of the collection.
Madonna is seeking a new model for her clothing line.
The 52-year-old singer launched her Material Girl range - which is aimed at teenage girls - last year with 'Gossip Girl' star Taylor Momsen promoting the brand but, according to a posting on the company's official website, Madonna is looking for a new ambassador.
Next to a picture of 17-year-old Taylor an advert proclaims. "Desperately seeking Material Girl".
It goes on to add, "Living in a material world and we need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene, she is never afraid".
The posting encourages visitors to the site to vote for who they think should become the next face of the collection.
Madonna worked on the Material Girl line with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes and admitted the youngster brought much of her own personal style to the collection.
She revealed: "I think this line is absolutely an extension of her taste.
"We like to combine a plaid or a flannel with a lace or leather with lace or rhinestones. So we mix and match textures and fabrics and elements that are both masculine and feminine."

Madonna Launches Hunt For The Next Material Girl
11 January 2011 16:06

Madonna has launched a search for the new face of her Material Girl clothing line, encouraging fans to vote online for their top choice.
The pop superstar released the teenage clothing range, designed in collaboration with her daughter Lourdes, last year (10) with actress Taylor Momsen as the collection's poster girl.
Madonna is now looking for a replacement for the Gossip Girl star, and a post on the brand's website is urging fans to cast their vote to decide who gets the job.
A message on the site titled 'Desperately Seeking Material Girl', references lyrics from Madonna's famous song of the same name and reads, "Living in a material world, we all need material girls. Looking for the hottest girl on the scene. She is never afraid. Hollywood is calling the next girl!... Wanted: Next big star. She makes her own fashion statement - trendy, but cool, young and hip."

Nouvelle chaussure appelée ‘Blond Ambition’ conçue par Kobi Levi.

Kobi Madonna
Posted on 5 January 2011 by femmie m

Yay! Kobi Levi designed a brand new shoe called ‘Blond Ambition’. We know where he got his inspiration from: muscular Madonna dressed in a Jean Paul Gaultier corset. Again a design to love and want.
Jean Paul Gaultier designed the corset specially for Madonna and her Blond Ambition tour. He’d probably never guessed that the corset would be such an success. The corset is an inspiration to many designers, but Kobi Levi beats them all with this fabulous shoes.

Collaborating with both Israeli and international companies in the past and present years and working on his men shoe line in Tel-Aviv, Israel. Designed industrial footwear in both Italy, China and Brazil. The trigger to create a new piece comes when an idea, a concept and/or an image comes to mind. The combination of the image and footwear creates a new hybrid and the design/concept comes to life. The piece is a wearable sculpture. It is "alive" with/out the foot/body. Most of the inspirations are out of the "shoe-world", and give the footwear an extreme transformation. The result is usually humoristic with a unique point of view about footwear. Another aspect of the creation is the realization. All the pieces are hand-made in my studio. The challenging technical development is the key to bring the design to life in the best way."

Les chaussures Repetto rouges de Madonna.

Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johansson, Madonna ...

Dec 10 2010 10:00 AM ET
Jessie Goldberg

Whether they’re traveling, lunching or running to the gym, Hollywood’s style stars are playing favorites with an accessory big enough to hold all of their secrets: the Gucci 1973 top handle tote. Angelina Jolie was spotted carrying the black leather bag last week with an all brown ensemble of stiletto boots and an on-trend trench coat–a winning wardrobe for The Tourist actress. And while Angelina mixed things up, Madonna matched the same black Gucci bag with an all-ebony ensemble. But these two stylish moms weren’t the only A-listers hauling the luxury handbag–Jennifer Lopez and Penélope Cruz went for the bag in brown, and Eva Mendes chose it in blue! With all these fashionistas carrying Gucci’s must-have tote, it’s tough to decide who pulled it off best. Tell us: Did Angelina Jolie or Madonna wear her Gucci tote better?

Madonna a demandé des vêtements de Lanvin pour H&M.

Lanvin for H&M likely to draw big crowds
CNNMoney.com
Jessica Dickler, staff writer, On Tuesday November 23, 2010, 12:09 pm EST

Jennifer Lopez and Madonna both have already scooped up these clothes and soon the rest of the country can, too.
Normally the garments of Lanvin -- the oldest operating French fashion house -- are off limits to the average shopper considering that the designer's cocktail dresses usually sell for $1,000 to $5,000 or more at high-end department stores like Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
But on Saturday, the Lanvin for H&M collection officially launches, bringing designer dresses to the public at prices ranging from $39.95 to $349. The limited-edition clothes will be on sale on Nov. 20 in the 24 H&M stores in the U.S. and on Nov. 23 in 200 stores worldwide.
Already stars like Madonna, Natalie Portman and Jennifer Lopez have requested items, according to H&M, and fashion editors are swooning.
Designed by Lanvin artistic director Alber Elbaz, the collection of mostly party dresses for women and casual suits for men -- think track pants and tuxedo jackets -- keeps true to Lanvin's signature details like deconstructed hems and exposed zippers.
"It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men," said Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
The least expensive item is a red lipstick, similar to what was seen on Lanvin's runway last year, for $9.95. Other accessories, including sunglasses and costume jewelry cost between $19.95 and $49.95.
While a far cry from Lanvin's usual selling point, "the prices aren't exactly rock bottom," noted Alexandra Greenawalt, a New York-based fashion stylist. "The red dress which I love and would consider purchasing is still $249."
Greenawalt calls the animal print coat for $199 is "the best wardrobe staple in the collection."
But this is "not just a dress for less," Elbaz said in a statement. "I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public," he said.
Of course, this is not H&M's first foray into high-end fashion. The retailer launches limited-edition designer collections around the same time every year, just in time for the holidays, and as in previous years, the clothes are only available while supplies last.
Items from previous collaborations with designers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Roberto Cavalli and Stella McCartney have resold for hundreds of dollars on sites like eBay. This time around, the company is actively trying to thwart shoppers from buying up the collection for the purpose of resale and restricting purchases to two items per style.
But that will hardly suppress demand. H&M says they expect consumers to camp out in front of the 5th Avenue flagship store in New York ahead of the 8 a.m. opening on Saturday.
In previous years, "people were sleeping in the streets," said spokeswoman Jennifer Ward.
