She turned heads with her acting skills in Bright Star and has just finished shooting Madonna's eagerly-anticipated new movie W.E. - but Australian actress Abbie Cornish has been drawing attention to herself for quite different reasons in her latest magazine spread.
The 28-year-old darling of independent cinema has unleashed her inner Hollywood glamourpuss for a scantily-clad shoot for men's magazine GQ ahead of her turn in the big-budget fantasy action movie Sucker Punch.
The star also revealed in the accompanying interview that she'd unleashed a hitherto hidden side of herself while preparing for the role of Sweet Pea.
She said: 'I'm a vegetarian—I'm not the type to want to go shoot a gun. Then I actually got to the range and totally fell in love with an M4. It was kind of amazing.'
In Sucker Punch, she plays a young girl institutionalized in a mental facility by her wicked stepfather.
Retreating to an alternative reality as a coping strategy, she envisions a plan which will help her escape from the treatment centre.
She co-stars along with Vanessa Hudgens, Mad Men star John Hamm and Emily Browning - and the alternate reality created by her current photoshoot will certainly be pleasing a lot of her male fans...
Her image is certainly a world away from the stripped bare look she sported yesterday after a good old session pounding the treadmill at the gym.
Abbie certainly needs to be fit at the moment - she is also currently doing the promotional rounds for new movie Limitless which premiered in Los Angeles last week.
A thriller, she stars in it alongside The Hangover's Bradley Cooper, Anna Friel and screen legend Robert De Niro.
Cooper plays a writer who discovers a top-secret drug which furnishes him with super-human abilities, with Abbie as his love interest. The film opens in the UK on March 23.
The April issue of GQ featuring the full interview with Abbie goes on sale on Tuesday March 22.
Sucker Punch meanwhile opens in UK cinemas on April 1.
