Clearly Madonna was not feeling in a very colourful mood today.
The singer was spotted arriving at a London hotel this evening dressed entirely in black and looked ready to do business.
Trussed up in a three-quarter length coat, fishnets, killer heels and wearing huge sunglasses, the 51-year-old star put on her best poker face as she was snapped by waiting photographers.
The star also appeared to have a notably clear complexion as she sauntered into the hotel looking remarkably fresh faced.
At least her daughter Lourdes, who turned 13 last week, was feeling a little more adventurous today in the wardrobe department.
The teenager was seen leaving her mother's London residence this morning wearing leg warmers, complete with fluorescent stripes.
She wore them over black tights, teamed with a pair of Converse trainers and a baggy striped T-shirt.
Last week Madonna threw a party in New York for Lourdes to celebrate her entering her teenage years.
She marked the day by gathering family and friends for a lavish bash in Manhattan.
The Material Girl hitmaker, along with Lourdes' father Carlos Leon, booked out the Delicatessen restaurant in SoHo for the party.
During the bash, the singer presented her daughter with a red, velvet-look birthday cake.
Meanwhile, a woman who lives in the same building as Madonna has complained of loud music coming from her apartment.
Karen George, who lives above the singer, is suing the management company that looks after their Manhattan block.
She alleges Madonna and her friends rehearse to ‘unreasonable high-decibel amplified music'.
In papers filed at New York State Supreme Court, Karen claims nothing has been done since she first complained in 2008.
Madonna moved into the seventh-floor apartment following her divorce from Guy Ritchie, 41.
Her representative declined to comment, as did a spokeswoman for the management company.
