Famous pop photographers exhibit at the Mega Record and CD Fair in Holland
Dave Berry, Rare albums, autograph sessions, valuations and live performances
On Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of November 2010 the Mega Record and CD Fair will take place at the Jaarbeurs convention centre. This fair, which will be held for the 34th time, joins music lovers from all over the world in finding records, enjoying live performances or gazing at music related exhibitions.
This autumn a huge collection of 100 images will be shown by 7 of the worlds leading photographers of artists like the Clash, Madonna, David Bowie and Iggy Pop. The Austrian top-collector Hans Pokora will show and autograph his latest encyclopaedia of rare albums. Vinyl is a good investment, fanatic collectors are looking forward to the presentation of the Rare Record Price Guide 2012 and valuation by compiler Ian Shirley.
Photo exhibit Masters of Light
The American photographer George Dubose is the proud owner of a huge collection original images by famous photographers. At the fair he will show over 100 photo’s among some of which are by Mick Rock, well known for his work with David Bowie and REM, and Curtis Knapp, who shot the first magazine cover of Madonna. Apart from these two George Dubose will show images of his work with the Ramones and there are many photos of Chip Simons (Counting Crows), Adrian Boot (Bob Marley), Jeffrey Newbury (Lou Reed) and Josh Cheuse (the Clash).

Born and raised on Long Island, New York, Curtis Knapp is a studio portrait, fashion photographer and artist. Learning the basics at Parsons School of Design, New York, he went on to illustrating.
In the late 70s he lived in Athen, Georga (home to the B52's and REM and shooting some of the B52s earliest photos and REMs Chronic Town cover. He started to focus on making portaits in 1980, he has acumulated an Photographic Award Winning and full portfolio spanning from Andy Warhol, Madonna (her very first magazine cover, ISLAND), Brian Eno, Dennis Hopper, Slash, William Burroughs, Lou Reed, Suicide, Tina Turner, Jim Carroll (ADC Award), Alan Ginsburg, Klaus Nomi, REM, John Lurie, David Byrne, Robert Downey Jr. to Toshiro Mifune (7samurai) and others. Throughout his work he has incorperated his style into his fashion and commercial advertising work.
Living in the NYC in the early 70s offered a wide range of interesting subjects to photograph. In 84 he moved to Tokyo, where he spent 20 years.
In 2004, Moved back to America to teach at the SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTE, Washington DC. Is now working on photography projects in New Orleans.
