Madonna - MDNA Tour: 300 etickets réimprimés pour Abu Dhabi, EAU.
Madonna eticket glitch hits 300 UAE fans
May 30, 2012
Organisers for Madonna's first ever concert in the UAE have informed around 300 eticket holders that their tickets will have to be reissued due to a technical glitch.
Concert organiser Flash said some etickets that were emailed to customers for the singer's two shows on Yas Island contained incorrect category details.
"This bug was identified quickly and the error has been corrected," said Mira Sadek.
She said the company had been in direct contact with those who have been affected and updated tickets will be sent via email "before close of business today".
The email that was sent this morning said the tickets had been "printed incorrectly" and "will not be able to gain you access into the venue".
According to Flash, the new tickets must be printed out and presented at the Du Arena concert venue on Yas Island to gain access, as the previous tickets "have been automatically voided".
The two shows on June 3 and 4 will be Madonna's first performances in the Middle East as part of her MDNA World Tour 2012 to promote her 12th studio album.
Tickets to the first concert, 22,000 of them, quickly sold out online when they went on sale in late February.
But Flash released more tickets yesterday, saying that the recent changes to the venue, including a new stage and larger grassed areas, had created more space for extra fans.
According to Ms Sadek, the system is fully operational again and tickets can be purchased from the Flash website or at Virgin Megastores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
