Viewers from around the world are awaiting the most anticipated show of the year...Super Bowl XLVI. Patriots. Giants. And.....Madonna.
Rock Hall of Famers take note--earning your place inside the Cleveland museum likely increases your odds of being asked to perform at the Super Bowl.
This year's halftime show features Madonna (Hall of Fame inductee, 2008).
The "Material Girl" joins an elite list of Super Bowl performers who are also Hall of Fame inductees. The list includes: Paul McCartney, Prince, U2, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and The Who.
The Halftime show is only 12 minutes long, but Madonna, who said she hasn't watched a football game since high school, was able to convince NBC executives to add 40 seconds to her performance.
According to NFL.com, The Super Bowl halftime show is the most-watched musical event of the year. More than 162 million viewers in the U.S. watched last year's show. The Super Bowl and halftime show will be broadcast worldwide.
