New Delhi: Madonna is the original queen of pop and reinvention and even new age pop stars need her to stay in the spotlight. But 2010 saw a whole new breed of pop princesses out to challenge the queen. Leading the pack is Lady Gaga with her poker face and some outrageous and bizarre outfits, including a meat dress that made as much news as the lady's taped look. Gaga's been not only the paparazzi's darling but the Grammys' too as she bagged five trophies this year. She kissed a girl and everyone liked it. Soon Katy Perry burst onto the music scene with her cute yet sexy look and made news not only for her music but her marriage to funnyman Russell Brand too. Now Perry is ushering the new year with some promising Fireworks.
The Good Girl Gone Bad might not have been the critic's favourite but Rihanna certainly topped the popular polls. The year also saw Rihanna put her controversial break up with Chris Brown behind with many reinventions and churn out her year's Grammy pass - Love the Way You Lie featuring Eminem.
