'Glee' gets a boost from Madonna
April 16, 2010 / Jarett Wieselman
I don't think it's overselling Tuesday's episode of "Glee" to say it's the slickest, sharpest and most enjoyable hour to date. As we all know by this point, "The Power of Madonna" features everyone in the cast -- from Jesse St. James to Emma -- performing Madge's greatest hits. It's no surprise the songs wormed their way into everyone's subconscious considering Sue pipes the jams through the McKinley High's PA system all week long.
And while the promos push the episode ending "Like A Prayer" and Fox has pushed Sue's "Vogue" remake, personally I found the girls-only version of "Express Yourself" the most magical. And now you can (partially) see why! Decked out in the bustiers and slicked 'dos that Madge made iconic in 1989 (via), Rachel leads the ladies in a vocal rebellion against the boys. Watch one reason why they're so sassed!
But until that track is released (perhaps tonight at 6pm since another song is dropping at that time) you can give the aforementioned "Like A Prayer" several spins here:

And if you need more Madonna in your life (let's face it, who doesn't) here's a Bennigan's style sampler of everything from Tuesday's episode:
