Now's Editor In Chief Dan Wootton flew to New York to meet Madonna for her only UK interview.
Their meeting was filmed for a special Madonna Morning on ITV's Daybreak and Lorraine.
'I miss London, I do,' Madonna, 53, told Dan.
'And I'll be back when I come there on tour. I miss riding my bike everywhere.
'I miss the British sense of humour.'
Madonna is looking foward to touring here this summer and the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. She's also a fan of the Duchess of Cambridge, the former Kate Middleton.
'I think she's quite charming and intelligent,' she confides. 'Nice. A breath of fresh air.'
But new teen heartthrobs One Direction aren't really on the Material Girl's radar yet.
'That's a pop group, right? Yes, yes, yes, yes. I haven't seen them yet, sorry,' Madonna admits.
'[Holds out her palm] Slap my hand! I'm telling you I live in a bubble. In a tent, really.'
Madonna's new single Girl Gone Wild, from the album MDNA, is out on 14 May.

She knows all about living life in front of the cameras.
So when it came to making a film about the most famous woman of her era, Madonna was the perfect fit.
The pop star turned film director poured her heart and soul into W.E. – which tells the story of divorcee Wallis Simpson and her scandalous love for King Edward VIII.
Madonna is fascinated by Mrs Simpson, played by Brit star Andrea Riseborough, ­posing here in a fashion shoot with her director.
“The movie is all about the cult of ­celebrity,” says Madonna. “Wallis Simpson became ­famous by default. People couldn’t understand how she won the heart of a king.
“She wasn’t conventionally pretty, was divorced and couldn’t have ­children... what did she have to offer? I was once told a Japanese phrase for women past the marrying age – ‘stale cake’.”
At 53 Madonna increasingly comes across such prejudice ­herself. “Whenever someone writes anything about me, my age is right after my name,” the mum-of-four says. “When you put someone’s age down, you’re ­limiting them.”
Not that ­Madonna sets ­herself any limits – her current ­boyfriend, French break-dancer ­Brahim Zaibat, is just 24.

Clin d'oeil has released a special edition dedicated to famed fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier, a first for a Quebec-based fashion magazine.
Clin d’œil has partnered with The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk exhibit at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts starting June 17, 2011. Clin d'oeil is "the only Quebec magazine to have interviewed Gaultier in Paris within the context of this exhibit" according to a release from the magazine.
The SIP contains more than 70 pages of exclusive content, including an exclusive interview with Gaultier in his Parisian studio as well as "never-before-seen" photos of the designer. Clin d’œil also reunited the fashion designer with international supermodel Ève Salvail who modeled pieces from Gaultier’s haute couture and ready-to-wear collections, resulting in more than 15 photos.
The magazine's website also contains a special section with exclusive videos, including an interview with Gaultier and a shopping spree with Ève Salvail in Paris, as well as a photo album documenting the making of' the special issue, which hit newsstands last week.
Gaultier and his work are also featured in the summer edition of Vancouver-based magazine Nuvo.
