MADONNA will make her first live UK performance of 2008 at Radio 1’s Big Weekend next month.
I can reveal that the Material Girl, 49, will perform tunes from her new album Hard Candy at the bash.
The BBC event takes place at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent, between May 10 and 11.
My Kentish insider told me: “Everybody’s really excited about the prospect of Madonna performing. The organisation is going to be immense but she’s well worth it.”
Playlist had an early butchers at Madge’s sugar-coated album and it’s a delight.
Featuring production by urban heavyweights Neptunes, Timbaland, 37, Justin Timberlake, 27, and Danjahandz, 26, the beat-heavy, 12-track opus has a crunchy hip-hop coating with a sweet, soft-pop centre.
